Obituary of Henry Waara Salo Location Henry J. Waara, 61, a resident of Salo Location passed away Saturday January 22, 2011, at the Portage Hospital where he had been a patient for the past four days following a lengthy illness. He was born on May 28, 1949, in Hancock, a son of the late John and Clara (Larson) Waara. Henry was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 1967. Mr. Waara had worked for various contractors in the area as a heavy equipment operator. He was associated with the First Apostolic Lutheran Church. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers and a sister. Surviving are: A good friend, Joleen Bartlett Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Funeral services for Henry will be held 12 noon Wednesday January 26, 2011, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Richard Eskola to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Liminga Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday January 26, 2011, from 10 am until time of services at the funeral home.
