Hilma Clerihew

Obituary of Hilma Lucia Clerihew Beacon Hill Hilma L. Clerihew, 86, a resident of West Bloomfield, Michigan and summer resident of the Beacon Hill District, passed away Wednesday afternoon Jnauary 4, 2006, at the Huron Valley Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, where she had been a patient for the past 11 days. The former Hilma L. Kuosa, was born on May 11, 1919, in Beacon Hill, a daughter of the late Paavo and Tekla Kuosa, and attended the Beacon Hills School. As a young woman she moved to the Detroit area. On July 20, 1946, she was united in marriage to James L. Clerihew Jr. and he preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a beloved granddaughter, Amber; her parent 3 sisters; Helmi, Hilda & Hilia, and 1 brother, Eino. Surviving are: 1 Son, James L. Clerihew III \, of West Bloomfield, MI 2 Daughters: Mrs. Carol (William) Fritz of Port Payne, Alabama Mrs. Phyllis (Scott) Carlborn of Houghton Canal Rd. 1 Grandson: Joshua Klann of Glendale, AZ Several Nieces & Nephews The Family requests no services at the present time. There will be a graveside service held at the Liminga Cemetery in the spring. The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock has been assisting the family.
