Hilma Olson

Obituary of Hilma Olson Dollar Bay Hilma E. Olson, 97, a former resident of Dollar Bay, passed away June 16, 2006, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home where she had been a resident patient for the past month. She was born on November 1, 1908, in Dollar Bay, a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Koski) Mattson. As a child Hilma attended the Dollar Bay Schools. On February 23, 1946, she was united in marriage to Mathias T. Olson in Detroit, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1987. Hilma was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet. Also preceding her in death were 2 Brothers: Tom Mattson and Eino Mattson, 1 Sister: Lillian Barnett, and 1 Nephew: Gary Mattson. Surviving are: 1 Niece: Shirley Butler of Neosho, MO 2 Great-Nephews: Kevin Butler of Neosho, MO David Mattson of Clawson, MI 1Great-great Nephew: Joseph Butler of Neosho, MO Funeral services for Hilma will be held 1 P.M. this Tuesday June 20, 2006, in the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Calumet, on the corner of Pine St. and Waterworks St. with Richard Eskola to officiate. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Lake Linden. Friends may call at the Church on Tuesday from 11 A.M. until tie of services.
