Obituary of Impi Kemppainen HoughtonImpi J. Kemppainen, 100, a former resident of Douglass House Apartments Houghton passed away Thursday morning January 3, 2013, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Hancock where she had been a resident patient for the past 3 years.She was born in Portage Township on April 12, 1912, a daughter of the late Henry and Minnie (Bukema) Etapa. She attended the local schools.Impi was united in marriage to Wilbert Saari and in 1942, he preceded her in death due to injuries received in a mining accident.
