Ingrid Tuisku

Obituary of Ingrid Johanna Tuisku Toivola Ingrid Johanna Tuisku, 90, a long time resident of Heritage Manor, Houghton, and formerly of Toivola passed away at Portage Pointe January 9, 2008. Ingrid was born October 3, 1917, in Toivla, the daughter of Jacob and Jennie (Myllymaki) Perala. As a youth, she attended the Toivola schools. On June 29, 1936 she was united in marriage to Arvo E. Tuisku. He preceded her in death April 10, 1971. Also preceding her in death are a son Lauren on January 25, 1966, two sisters and brothers-in-law: Laila (Reino) Sipola, Elsie (Waino) Tuisku, two brothers Toivo and William in infancy. Surviving are: A brother Onni (Norma) Perala of Yakima, WA A sister-in-law: Arlene Perala of Owatonna, MN Nephews and nieces: Reino (Beverly) Sipola, Laverne (Doug) Hayrynen, Grace (Charlie) Burger, Jack (Sandy) Sipola, Jerry (Edith) Sipola, Rosella (Larry) Juntunen, Martene Olson, Carolyn (Larry) Hultquist, Shelden (Cheryl) Perala, Warren (Cheryl) Perala, Ramona (Pete) Peterson, Richard (Mary) Tuisku, Sheila (Ron) Buswell, Brenda Dorvinen, Karen McBride, Matt (Tina) Perala, and Sandra (John) Platt. Special Family; Dan and JoAnne Sternhagen, Vicki (David) Delgado, Carli (Brian) Adams, and Scott (Gwen) Sternhagen Numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins Ingrid was a long time active member of Grace Lutheran Church of South Range. Funeral services for Ingrid will be held 11 a.m. Monday January 14, 2008, in Grace Lutheran Church of South Range with Licensed Lay Minister Nicholas Hopman to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Toivola Cemetery of Toivola. In Lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy the family suggests that memorials be given to Grace Lutheran Church of South Range.
