DodgevilleJames M. Dunstan, Sr., 73, a resident of Dodgeville, MI, passed away on Wednesday February 12, 2014, at Asprius Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.He was born on February 3, 1941, in Trimountain, MI, a son of the late Sidney and Elma (Vaataja) Dunstan, Sr.James married to former, Mary Ann Hietala, on May 18, 1963 and she preceded him in death on June 28, 2006.James worked for Sam Siler Contracting from 1957 to 1976, and then for Bill Siler Contracting from 1977 to 1979, retiring due to health problems.He enjoyed following his favorite sport teams, the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers; and playing his daily card game of "Beat The Devil".James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; two brothers Sidney Jr. and Paul Dunstan; and five sisters, Mae Burgbacher, Alice Cantin, Loretta Siler, Marcella Dunstan and Shirley Buckman.He is survived by a daughter Cindy Dunsatn of Dodgeville and her son, Bradley, and three sons, Steve (Julie) Dunstan and their boys Jeffrey, Timothy and Thomas of Dollar Bay, James Jr and Brian both of Dodgeville; a sister Betty Lark of Kearsarge and a sister-in-law, Judy Dunstan of Pilgrim Road, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.At James's request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or funeral.To view Jim's obituary or to send condolences to the family please visit www.plowefuneralhome.comThe Plowe Funeral Home of Houghton is assisting the family with the arrangements.Service Information
