Obituary of Jeffrey Saari Winona Jeffrey L. Saari, 21, left us to be with our Lord and Savior, on Saturday, July 31, 2004, near Winona, MI. He was born on March 1, 1983, in Ontonagon a son of Kenneth and Colleen (Gregory) Saari, and was a graduate of Jeffer's High School in Painesdale, with the Class of 2001. Jeff will be missed by his family & friends He was a loving son, brother, father, nephew, cousin, & friend. We are grateful and could not have asked for anything more except for time with him. He told his family that it all started with age of 10, that his life's dream was to work with his Dad in the woods, which he did. He took pride in everytrhing that he did and he never backed down. When his daughter, Brianna was born it made him the proudest Dad on this earth. Jeff's Mom, would call her the sunshine of his life. His personality won everyone's heart that he came in contact with. His smile was always there no matter how many fish he caught or points that were on his bucks rack. His zest for what the Upper Peninsula had to offer him in any outdoor activity gave the meaning to the outdoor enthusiast. His Love for his community, where he grew up and chose to live in as an adult inspired him to be an active member of the Twin Lakes Fire Dept. He was also a member of the First Lutheran Church of Winona.. Among those who preceded him in death were his maternal and paternal grandmothers: Mrs. Virginia Gregory and Mrs. Edna Saari Surviving are: 1 daughter: Brianna Jane Saari-Depuydt of Painesdale His parents: Kenneth A. & Colleen G. Saari of Winona 1 Brother: Ron Saari of Winona Numerous Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004 at 11 A.M. in the First Lutheran Church of Winona with Rev. John West to officiate. Burial to be in the Woodland Cemetery in Winona. Friends may call at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock on Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. and for 1 hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
