Obituary of Jennie Simula Hancock Jennie S. Simula, a resident of Hancock passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014. She was born January 9, 1927, in Copper City, Michigan, Daughter of Andrew and Anna (Elehva) Wuotinen. She graduated from Calumet High School with the class of 1945. She went to Detroit and worked at Chryslers and the Burroughs Corporation. On August 1, 1953 she was united in marriage to William (Bill) Simula. The couple resided in the Detroit area until retiring to Hancock in 1986. She resided with her daughter and family for the past year due to illness. Jennie Simula was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Hancock. Preceding her in death were her husband William; her infant son David; her parents; her sister Fannie and infant sister Martha; her brothers Wayne, Rueben and Arthur. Surviving are: Her children: Paul (Sue) Simula of Battleground, WA Glen (Lorri) Simula of Hancock Carol Linge of Battleground, WA Lenore (Byron) Ek of Battleground, WA Kim (Darrell) Wuebben of Dollar Bay 45 grandchildren 31 great grandchildren Her sister Peggy Johnson of Hazel Park, MI Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Jennie will be held 11 am Saturday November 15, 2014, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock with Ronald Jouppe to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery of Calumet. Friends may call on Friday November 14, 2014, from 5 to 8 pm at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock and on Saturday from 10 am until time of services at the church.
