Obituary of Jerome L. Wakeham
Atlantic Mine Jerome L. Wakeham, 32, a resident of Atlantic Mine went to be with the Lord Saturday evening June 18, 2016. He was born on April 18, 1984, in Gaylord, MI, a son of Jerome Affholder and Kathryn Gillman. At the age of nine he moved to Atlantic Mine and was adopted by William and Gloria (Lantto) Wakeham. Jerome was a graduate of the Intermediate School District - Special Education Program. He was a member of Houghton Baptist Church, Jerome loved to go for walks, listen to music, play the piano, play with his Legos and be with people. He always had a smile on his face. Preceding him in death were his sister; Jeanette; his grandparents and his foster brothers; Roger and Randy. Surviving are: His parents: William & Gloria Wakeham of Atlantic Mine & Jerome Affholder and Kathryn (Roy) Gillman Roscommon, MI His brothers & sisters: Jennifer Affholder of Florida Laura Klein of Roscommon Karen (Michael) Washo of Valparaiso, IN Gregory (Kristen) Wakeham of Liminga Justin Wakeham of Phoenix, AZ Logan Wakeham of Iron Mountain Jason Wakeham of Hancock Clayton Wakeham of Atlantic Mine Steven Wakeham of Atlantic Mine Zacary Wakeham of Hancock Karrie Wakeham of Atlantic Mine 6 nieces & nephews Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service for Jerome will be held 11 am Tuesday June 28, 2016, at the Houghton Baptist Church with Pastor David Whitaker to officiate. Friends may call on Tuesday June 28, 2016, from 10 am until time of services at the Houghton Baptist Church.
