Obituary of John Garfield Sederholm Atlantic Mine John G. Sederholm, 59, a resident of Atlantic Mine, passed away Saturday evening April 28, 2018, at the UP Health – Marquette Hospital following a short illness. He was born on April 13, 1959, in Hancock, MI, a son of Jean (Smith) Sederholm and the late John L. Sederholm. John was raised in Hancock, South Range and Atlantic Mine. John was a graduate of the Jeffers High School with the class of 1977. He then attended Northern Michigan University and had attended the University of Louisville. Mr. Sederholm had worked for Houghton National Bank in Houghton as a teller. Due to health reasons, John hasnt been able to work for the past twenty years. John was a talented Jack of all trades person helping family and friends with small carpenter or plumbing projects. He also artistic working on pottery projects. Preceding him in death was his father John L. Sederholm, his aunt Barbara Sederholm-Manninen. Surviving are: His mother: Jean Sederholm of Atlantic Mine His sister: Lillian (Timo Koskinen) Sederholm of Atlantic Mine His nephews: Joseph J. (Kathy Curto) Kangas of Atlantic Mine Christopher B. (Alisha Juntikka) Kangas of Atlantic Mine His grandnieces: Ally Kangas, Zoey Kangas, Kylee Kangas, Shawna Curto and Jaden Gerzetich A private service for John will be held at a later time at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev.
