Obituary of June A. Koski Hancock June Alda Koski, 99, 27 days shy of her 100 birthday, passed away May 29, 2015, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock where she had been a resident patient since September of 2008. She was born in Deer Park, WI, to John and Florence Amondson, where she also attended school. She later moved to Still Water, MN, where she lived for several years. In 1953, she moved to Hancock, MI, where she worked at Nutini's Supper Club, and then at the Michigan Technological University Memorial Union Building Snack Bar until her retirement in 1980, at age 65.She enjoyed gardening, her pets, fishing, cooking and baked the best bread for her family.June was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hancock.Preceding her in death were her daughter June (Chuck) Guy son Aaron Wilbur (AKA Jack Battalio) brother, Delwin Amondson, nephew John Amondson and son-in-law William R. LepistoShe leaves behind a daughter Mary Lepisto, sons, Michael (Judy) Battalio and William Koski. Daughter-in-law Christina Wilbur, grandchildren, Gina Lepisto, William ( Nancy) Lepisto, Brad Hoffman, Rocky Hoffman, Gregg Hoffman, Kinny (Candi) Chin, Su-jen (Norm) Mauldin, Andy (Ed) Birch, Crystal (Carlos) Palomares, Michael (Crystal) Battalio and Jon Koski; great grandchildren; Brandon (Dani) Lepisto, Christopher Lepisto, Brett Lepisto, Samantha Lepisto, Bryan Lepisto, Lauren Laidlaw, Megan Laidlaw, Abigail Nicholas, Sophia Palomares, Colton Battalio and Michael Battalio III.
