Obituary of June Koski ChassellJune L. Koski, 81, of Chassell, passed away Wednesday evening December 8, 2010, at the Delaware House in Portage Pointe surrounded by family after a short battle with cancer.She was born on August 10, 1929, in Donken, MI, a daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtle (Hocking) Fratick. June was a 1948 graduate of the Winona High School. On September 4, 1948, June was united in marriage with Frank Koski in Ashland, WI. The couple lived in Ironwood then moved to Houghton after the birth of their first child, and since 1961 they resided in Chassell. June enjoyed being home raising her children and later worked for JCPenney, Fashion Bug and as a greeter for Walmart. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church of Houghton. June enjoyed working with crafts, bowling, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her husband Frank on October 28, 1995, her parents, her sister Joyce and an infant sister and an infant brother.Surviving are: Her son Ozzie (Barbara) Koski of Houghton Canal, his son Jared (Bobbi Jo) Hoffenbecker of Mosinee, WI (children Brenden and Jade Hoffenbecker). With Barb, daughter Melissa Koski of Hancock, MI. Her son Clark (Joyce) Koski and their children - Stephanie (Terry) Kannenberg (children Samantha, Jagger, Cassidy, and Dallas), Shaun (Laura) Koski (children Kennedy and Camryn), Jessica (Kourtny) VanderPloeg (children Bailey and Kohlton).Her daughter Lori (Mike) Markham of Hancock and her children Jason (Sara) Johnson of Menasha, WI (children Leah and Ryan) and June (Ed) Sebbas of Chassell (children Cody and Ella).Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral service for June will be held on Monday, December 13 at 11 a.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church of Houghton with Rev. David Goudie to officiate. Friends may call starting at 10 a.m. until time of service at Grace United Methodist Church in Houghton. Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton.
