Obituary of Kamila Marie Fourland Hancock Kamila M. Fourland, 46, a resident of Hancock passed away Wednesday morning November 9, 2011, at the Marquette General Hospital following a short battle with cancer. She was born on January 10, 1965 in Mobile, Alabama. As a child, she moved to Sacramento, CA, where she resided until moving to Hancock twenty years ago. Ms. Fourland had worked as a private duty nurse in California and locally. Kamila was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church of Houghton. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and was a helpful and caring friend to many. She also loved to spend time outdoors and dancing. Preceding her in death was her father John Fourland. Surviving are: Her mother: Ann Rukavina-Fourland of Hancock Her children: Brandon Murphy of Sacramento, CA Heather Murphy of Houghton Her grandchildren: Ayla, Derek, Taylor, Angel, Sadie & Lucus. Her lifelong companion Lenny Looper of Hancock and his sons, Nathan Looper, Brandon (Trista) Looper and Jeremy Looper Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins A Memorial Mass for Kamila will be held 11 am Monday November 14, 2011, at St. Albert the Great Catholic Church of Houghton with Fr. Al Mott to celebrate. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ontonagon, MI. Friends may call on Monday November 14, 2011, from 10 am until time of services at the church.
