Chassell Heaven gained another angel on November 4th, 2020. Karen E. Hall lost her courageous battle with colon cancer at the age of 46. She is survived by her husband Scott Hall, step children Daniel Hall, Bridget Argall, and step grandchildren Landon and Ella Argall, and her adorable fur babies Shadow and Abby, her mother Evelyn Welch of LAnse, her sister Cyndi (Tim) Martin and nephews Danny and Jason of Belvidere, IL , and her In-laws Ed and Lil Hall of Chassell, sister-in-law Pam Mertz of Rochester, NY and her children Kyle and Aaron. She was preceded in death by her father Jerry Welch, her maternal grandparents William and Milma Jolgren of Pelkie. She will be missed by many, but especially close family friends, Christa & Rusty, Jeff, Kerry, Ashley, Jean and Jessica. She was born September 27, 1974 in Park Ridge, Illinois. She graduated from LAnse High School and Northern Michigan University before earning her Masters degree at Michigan Tech. She will be remembered for her beautiful heart and soul. Her willingness to help someone every chance she got. She was always happy to help anyone who needed it. She was an active member of the Michigan Tech community where she was employed for 22 years as the Director of Information Services in the Student Affairs division. She taught various courses both at Michigan Tech and Gogebic Community College. She was the treasurer of the Blue Line Club for the Michigan Tech Hockey team. She loved taking her beloved dogs for walks, camping, loved being outdoors, hockey, softball. She loved her Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Blackhawks. She will greatly be missed by all who loved and knew her. While her life was short, her touch and smile impacted many. Graveside services for Karen will be held 12 noon on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at the Pelkie Cemetery with Pastor John Ansell to officiate. In lieu of flowers please give a donation to one of Karens favorite charities the Copper Country Humane Society or the Brody Strong Foundation to cure childhood cancer.
