     Karla D. (Glen) Weiberg, 74, a resident of Traprock Valley passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023, at the Omega House in Houghton following a lengthy illness.
          She was born on March 11, 1949, in Calumet a daughter of the late Wilbert and Beatrice (Mattila) Anderson. Karla was raised in Laurium and attended the Calumet Schools.
           On March 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to Glen Alan Weiberg.  The couple moved to make their home in the Chicago area.  During that time they had owned and operated Toots and Too 2 until their retirement in 2006.  Since that time they enjoyed wintering in Alabama and spending summers at Karla's favorite place the farm in Trap Rock Valley.
          Over the years Karla and Glen enjoyed traveling and were happy to have been able to visit 102 different countries.  They also enjoyed spending time visiting with family and friends.
          Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister Anita Simonen and her brother Mark Anderson.

            Her children: Glen A. Weiberg Jr.
            Melissa (Jeff) Goulette 
            Her grandchildren: Kaija and Linnea
            Several nieces, nephews and cousins
   A time to remember Karla and celebrate her life will be held at 1:00, Saturday, September 30, 2023, at her favorite place the family farm in Traprock Valley.
