Kenneth Hirvi

Toivola Kenneth Carl Hirvi, a lifelong resident of Toivola passed away peacefully on February 9, 2022. He was born on September 17, 1956, in Hancock, MI to Irving and Ellen (Kananen) Hirvi. Kenneth worked for the road commission and Penegors. He enjoyed growing his prized tomatoes and sharing them with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing and being in the woods. Surviving are sisters Joanne (Ernest) Fraki of Toivola, Edith Paul of Utah and brother Alden (Faye) Hirvi of Toivola. Sister-in-law Susan Hirvi and brother-in-law Leonard Luoma. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and of course his cat Moukkii. Special thanks to his girlfriend Peggy Macko of Misery Bay for her wonderful care of Kenny during his last days. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Howard and sister Kathryn. A celebration of Kennys life will be held later this coming summer.
