Obituary of Leslie W. Lindrus Libertyville, Il Leslie W. Lindrus, 76, a resident of Libertyville, IL, passed away Friday May 15, 2015, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. He was born on January 7, 1939 in Nisula, MI, son of John and Selma (Leskela) Lindrus and graduated from Baraga High School in 1956. He attended Minneapolis Business College and graduated from Michigan Technological University. He married Ruth Luokka on July 13, 1963. He was employed at Stevenson's Chevrolet and The State of Michigan Welfare Department in Hancock. He retired from the United States Postal Service, Chicago, IL, after working there for 37 years. Lesile was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Zion, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Selma Lindrus, brother-in-laws, Donald Grentz, Ronald Pelto, Charles Norm and Robert Turpeinen and nephew Andy Pelto. He is survived by: his wife, Ruth Lindrus, sisters, Vivian Grentz, Martha (Mervin) Pelto, Jean Pelto, Ruth Normand and Evelyn Turpeinen and brothers, Norman (Virginia) and Rodney (Carol) Lindrus and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Leslie will be held 1 pm Thursday May 21, 2015, at the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Houghton with David Taivalkoski to officate. Burial will be in the Nisula Cemetery.
