Lillian Holombo

Obituary of Lillian M. Holombo Hancock Lillian M. Holombo, 96, a former resident of Holland St., passed away Monday March 6, 2006, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Hancock where she had been a resident patient since December of 2003. Mrs. Holombo was born on August 18, 1909, in St. Mary's Location a daughter of the late Arthur and Liisa (Hyrylainen) Liimatta. As a child she resided in Boston Location and was a graduate of the Hancock High School. On June 11, 1931, she was united in marriage to William Holombo and he preceded her in death on December 14, 1996. Lillian had worked for a short time as a receptionist for Dr. Steinbach prior to marrying William. Preceding her in death were: her husband, her parents, Her son James Holombo, and 1 Brother: Arthur Liimatta Jr. Surviving are: 1 Daughter-in-law: Theresa Holombo of Dollar Bay 3 Grandchildren: Mary (Glen) Edgar of Lancaster, OH Cheryl Koepel of Lancaster, OH Daniel Holombo of East Grosse Pointe Shores 5 Great Grandchildren: Daniel, Megan, Ryan, Kimberly, and Brandon 1 Sister: Gertrude Mikkola of Houghton 1 Brother-in-law: Leonard (Betty) Holmbo of Hancock Several nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Lillian will be held 1 P.M. this Monday March 13, 2006, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Paul Marin to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday March 13, 2006, from 11 A.M. until time of services. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy the family suggests that memorial may be made to the charity of ones choice.
