Obituary of Lloyd Ruotsala Paavola Lloyd W. Ruotsala, 78, a reisdent of Paavola, passed away early Wednesday morning May 11, 2005, at his home following a short illness. He was born on July 20, 1926, in Calumet, a son of the late William and Bertha (Petrie) Ruotsala. As a child he was raised in Pewabic Location and during his working years had resided in various areas of the United States. Mr. Ruotsala's retirement years have been spent living in Paavola. On February 28, 1947, he was united in marriage to the former Dorothy Ollanketo. Lloyd had worked as a truck driver for various companies during his working years. He was a member of Hope Fellowship Church in Houghton. Preceding him in death where: 2 Sons: Roger and Rodney; his parents; 3 Brothers: Carl, Harry, Clifford; and 1 infant sister Delores. Surviving are: His Wife Dorothy 2 Daughters: Regina (William) Jarvi Roxann (Kim) McWilliams 2 Sons: Ryan (Gloria) Ruotsala Randall (Kathy) Ruotsala 1 Brother: Richard Ruotsala 1 Aunt: Margaret Petrie 1 Sister-in-law: Dorothy Ruotsala Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins Services for Lloyd will be held on Monday May 16, 2005, at 11 A.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Paul Marin to officiate. Burial will be in the Oskar Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
