Lori LaFave (Sauvola)

Chassell Lori A Lafave, 54, a resident of Chassell passed away unexpectedly at home January 27th 2020. She was born October 19th, 1965, to the late George & Kathy (Colombe) Sauvola. She was raised on Denton Rd and attended Houghton High School. After school, she remained in the area working numerous jobs where most recently she was employed at the Daily Mining Gazette. Lori enjoyed crocheting and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of Houghton Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Grace. She is survived by her husband: Brian Lafave. Her children: SFC Lucas Velmer of Fort Bragg, NC, Justina Christian of Detroit, MI, and Jacob Lafave of Florence, WI. Her sisters: Kathy Bruhnke of Clintonville, WI Judy Michaelson of Chassell, MI. Also surviving are her grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles. The funeral service for Lori will be held at 2 PM Sunday, February 9th, 2020 at Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Chassell, MI with Pastors Dave Whitaker and Don Curry officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
