Obituary of Louis Hiltunen Paavola Louis A. Hiltunen, 64, a resident of Paavola passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2005, at the Portage Health Systems Hospital, where he had been a resident patient, following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 29, 1940, in Paavola, a son of Ellen (Hiltunen) Hiltunen and the late Wilbert C. Hiltunen. He was a graduate of the Hancock High School. Mr. Hiltunen was a veteran having served with the United States Army. Louis had worked as an auto body repairman at one time owning his own repair garage in Dollar Bay and L'Anse called Bay Body Shop. Preceding him in death was 1 daughter: Loretta Marie Hess; his father: Wilbert C. Hiltunen and 1 Brother Roy Hiltunen. Surviving are: His Mother: Ellen Hiltunen of the Heritage Manor in Houghton 3 Daughters: Colette (Karl) Mounts of Lakeside, CA Louise (Powell) Hiltunen of Elcajon, CA Debbie (Patrick) Keith of Chico, CA 1 Son: Louis (Kamee) Hiltunen of Phoneix, AZ 18 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchild Several nieces, nephews, and cousins As requested by the family no service will take place at this time. A Memorial service will be held later on in the spring with burial to be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock. The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock has been assisting the family with the arrangements.
