Lucille Butkovich

Obituary of Lucille Butkovich Hurontown Lucille M. Butkovich, 95, a former resident of Hurontown passed away Friday evening January 4, 2013, at the Franklin House of Portage Pointe where she had been a resident patient for the past thirteen years. She was born on July 29, 1917, in Hurontown a daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel (Rickard) Philpott. As a child, Lucille attended the Houghton Schools. Lucille was united in marriage to Peter Butkovich. The couple had first resided in Dodgeville and then in Hurontown. Peter preceded Lucille in death in 1991. Mrs. Butkovich was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton. She enjoyed needle working, knitting and crocheting for her family and friends. Preceding her in death were her husband, her daughters; Donna Hiltunen and Barbara Koskiniemi, her parents; her son-in-law: Douglas Hiltunen, and her daughter-in-law: Kathy Butkovich. Surviving are: Her children: David Butkovich of Hurontown Paul (Lois) Butkovich of Green Bay, WI 30 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren & great great grandchildren Her brother: Claude (Mabel) Philpott of Flint, MI Her son-in-law: Bernard Koskiniemi of Laurium Several nieces and nephews A Mass of Christian Burial for Lucille will be held 11 am Wednesday January 9, 2013, at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton with Fr. Corbin Eddy to celebrate. Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton. Friends may call on Wednesday January 9, 2013, at the St. Ignatius Loyola Church of Houghton from 10 am until time of mass.
