Obituary of Lucille Barbara Deakins Chassell Lucille B. Deakins, 65, a resident of the Creamery Court Apt., Chassell, passed away Saturday June 30, 2007, at Bay Side Village in L'Anse where she had been a resident patient for the past three days. She was born on June 5, 1942, in Detroit, a daughter of the late Victor and Vera (Sauvola) Ketola. As a child she attended and graduated from Redford High School. On July 27, 1961, she was united in marriage to Richard Deakins and after 11 years they divorced. Lucille was a member of the Chassell Apostolic Lutheran Church. Preceding her in death were two children Luke and John and her parents. Surviving are: Her children: Matthew Deakins of Marquette Mark Deakins of Vancouver, WA Jeffery (Eileen) Deakins of Sophia, N.C. and their children Alex, Avery, Hannah, and Elias Marlene (Gary) LaPlante of L;Anse, MI, and their children Bradley, Trevor, Tylor, and Cooper Sisters: Virginia (Edward) Kleimola of Ironwood Carol Ketola of Baraga Joyce Ketola of Chassell Elaine (Eric) Olson of Rindge, N.H. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Lucille will be 1 p.m. Thursday July 5, 2007, at the Chassell Apostolic Lutheran Church with Don Holombo and Walter Ketola to officiate. Burial will be in the Chassell Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday July 5, 2007 from 12 noon until time of services at the Church.
