Obituary of Mae Moilanen Hancock Mayme "Mae" Moilanen, 92, a former resident of Hancock St., Hancock, passed away early Friday morning October 21, 2005, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock where she had been a resident patient for over the past 4 years. She was born on June 20, 1913, in Edgemere, MI a daughter of the late Isaac and Emma (Koppari) Isaacson. As a child Mae attended the Redridge School. Mrs. Moilanen had worked in the Housekeeping department in the former St. Joseph's Hospital in Hancock. In 1951 she was united in marriage to Jacob Moilanen and he preceded her in death in 1974. Also preceding Mae in death were 8 sisters & 3 brothers. Surviving are: Nephews: William (Shirley) Ciabattari of Hancock Jason (Christine) Riutta of Traprock Nieces: Judy (Richard) Denam of Grand Blanc, MI Barbara (Jim) Walstencraft of Traverse City Betty Riutta of Dollar Bay Numerous others nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Mae will be held 11 A.M. Monday October 24, 2005, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Paul Marin to officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock.
