Obituary of Margaret Ruth Wesa Atlantic Mine Margaret "Marge" Ruth Wesa, 85, of Atlantic Mine died Wednesday March 8, 2006, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home, where she had been a resident patient since 2002. Margaret was born in Redridge on October 15, 1920 to Oscar and Jenny (Jackola) Kyllonen and lived most of her life in Waukegan, Illinois. She graduated from the Waukegan Schools and worked at Illinois Bell until her retirement in 1975. She married Toivo Wesa in 1945; they were married for 50 years. In 1982 she and Toivo retired to the Copper Country where she had since resided. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, a twin sister who died at birth, her husband, and her son, Jon. She is survived by a daughter-in-law: Phyllis Wesa of Laurium, one grandson Jonathan (Renee) Wesa of Dassel, Minnesota, two great grandsons, Russell and Jon of Dassel, Minnesota, a special niece, Deborah (Cully Maki of Twin Lakes, and her loyal pet dog, Copper. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Margaret was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church of Sharon Ave., Houghton. Funeral services for Marge will be held 11 A.M. Friday March 10, 2006, in the First Apostolic Lutheran Church on Sharon Ave., Houghton, with Richard Eskola to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Liminga Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday March 9, 2006, from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock and on Friday from 10 A.m. until time of services at the church.
