Obituary of Marina Giannelli-Sirekis Buckeye, AZ On February 8, 2012, Marina E. Giannelli-sirekis, 49, slept peacefully away at her home in Buckeye, AZ, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 28, 1962, in Hancock, MI, and raised in Painesdale, MI. A daughter of Estelle M. (Lahti) Riutta and the late Ralph Giannelli. Marina graduated from the Ontonagon High School and Gogebic Community College. She had also resided in Westland, MI, and Phoenix, AZ. Marina was a talented artist in many crafts that she enjoyed as well as spending time at the family camp in Twin Lakes, where we all have so many wonderful memories to cherish. Marina had worked for Pip Printing and the Arizona Board of Education. She also volunteered time teaching the local Native American Tribes. Preceding her in death were her husband Dan Sirekis, her father Ralph Giannelli, her beloved grandmother Esther Lahti, her infant brother Robert G. Riutta and brother Theodore Anderson. Surviving are: Her children: Wade Sirekis of Buckeye, AZ Sierra Sirekis of Tacoma, WA Her mother: Estelle Riutta of Painesdale Her sisters: Kathleen Cleary of Dollar Bay Wanda Anderson of South Range, MI April Schoeninger of Westland, MI Her brothers: Mark Riutta of Painesdale Ward Riutta of Painesdale Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins God looked around his garden, And He found an empty place. He then looked down upon this Earth, And saw your tired face. He put his arms around you, And lifted you to rest. God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
