Marge Miller

     Marjorie J. Miller, 74, a former resident of Onnela passed away Thursday November 17, 2022, in Biloxi, MS, where she had been residing. 

     She was born on May 28, 1948, in Hancock, MI, a daughter of the late Helmer and Saima (Kinnunen) Peterson.  Marge was raised in Tapiola and was a graduate of the John A. Doelle School.

     She then began a career working as a secretary for the Community Schools retiring after 3o years of service.

     On June 5, 1976, she was united in marriage to Donald Miller.  The couple resided in Onnela where they raised their family.  On October 7, 2010, Don preceded Marge in death

     Also preceding her in death were her parents; her sisters, Myrna Kuivanen and Marie Short and her brother Bill Peterson.

     Surviving are: 

            Her daughter: Tonya Moake of Nashville, TN

            Her grandson Joshua Moake of Nashville, TN

            Her sisters: Eleanor Kuivanen of Tapiola

                                    Ruth North of Ocean Springs, MS

                                    Karen King of Romeo, MI 

            Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins

     A memorial service for Marge will be held 2:00 pm Saturday June 17, 2023, at the Doelle Senior Citizens Center in Tapiola, with Pastor Jesse Aho to officiate.
