Obituary of Mark Ronald Tikkanen Chassell Mark Ronald Tikkanen, age 47 of Lower Worham Road in Chassell passed away on Saturday, May 24. Mark was a resident at Bayside Nursing Home in L'Anse for the past month as a result of his battle with Huntington's Disease. Mark was a certified mechanic in his early years and often repaired vehicles for his friends and neighbors. He loved snowmobiling, motorcycling, and riding his ATV. One of Mark's favorite pastimes was to socialize, and frequented the Chassell Citgo station daily. Mark is survived by: his father Ronald and brothers David and John (Anne) Tikkanen all of Keweenaw Bay, sisters Karen (Jack) Davin of Pittsburgh, PA., Bonny Cotter of L'Anse, JoAnne Harden of Baraga, and Renee (Cliff) Picotte of Ontonagon. Mark is also survived by nieces Hilary and Brittany, and nephews Matt, Steve, Stephen, Derek, and Christian. Mark was preceded in death by his mother Margaret (Maki) Tikkanen and a brother Bruce. Funeral services for Mark will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Chassell. Friends may call on Wednesday at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell from 5 p.m. until time of services.
