Martha Pekkala (Maki)

Quincy Township Martha A. Pekkala, 97, a resident of Quincy Township, passed away Saturday December 28, 2019, at the Omega House in Houghton. She was born on February 9, 1922, a daughter of the late Werner and Jennie (Kallio) Maki. Martha was united in marriage to Wilho Pekkala. Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents, two brothers and three sisters. Surviving are: Her children: John (Tami) Pekkala, James Pekkala, Jane Reoch and Joan Sisemore. Her grandchildren: Colin (Jordanne) Pekkala, Keon Sisemore, Devlin Sisemore and Matthew Reoch. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. As requested no service will take place. Marthas family would like to thank her UP CAP Girls, Dr. Janners, UP Home Health & Hospice, and the Omega House for the help and care given to Martha.
