Obituary of Martin Harold Ylitalo Baltic Martin Ylitalo, 55, a resident of Baltic passed away Sunday February 18, 2018, at the Light House of Hancock where he had been a resident for the past week. He was born on December 20, 1962, in Hancock, a son of the late Wilfred and Beverly (Marshall) Ylitalo. Marty was raised in South Range and was a graduate of the Jeffers High School with the class of 1981. He then went on and received his mechanics certification. Mr. Ylitalo had worked as a delivery person for Copper Country Dairy and then as a mechanic for Copper Country Ford and was also a self-employed mechanic. Marty enjoyed spending time at camp in Ontonagon with his brother Michael, watching NASCAR, hunting and visiting with family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, his brother Michael Ylitalo and his niece Joy Klemett. Surviving are: His son: Isaac Ylitalo-Chaney of Houghton His brother and sisters: Gerry Ollanketo of Ironwood, MI Mona (Dennis) Juntunen of Painesdale Heidi Klemett of Baltic Holly (Charlie) Strauch of Atlantic Mine Heather (Mike) McCloskey of Chassell Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins A memorial service for Marty will be held later this spring. Burial will be in the Mt. View Cemetery of South Range. Martys family would like to thank the class of 1981 from Jeffers High School for all of their love and support over the years.
