Obituary of Mary Ann Davis Hancock Mary Ann Davis, 78, of Hancock, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5th in the Home she grew up in, with her family at her side. She was born June 20, 1932, the only daughter of Opal and Gregory Preiner. She was a graduate of the 1950 class of Hancock High School. She went on to become a R.N. She worked in many areas around the country starting in Calumet and going on to Texas, Colorado, and Santa Monica, CA. She loved Santa Monica it was a very special place to her, she met her husband of 42 years there, Raymond A. Davis together they raised two children Steven and Michael they raised the boys in Forest Lake, MN, they continued to reside there until 2000 when she returned to Michigan, to her Hancock home. She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Davis, Parents Gregory and Opal Preiner. She is survived by her two sons, Steven (Kristine) Davis of Hancock, MI, and Michael Davis of Fridley, MN. Grandchildren how she loved her grandchildren Brian (Danielle) Davis of Bootjack, MI, Robert (Regina) Davis of Forest Lake, MN, Gregory, Andrew, Tara, Grant, and Scott Davis and her three plus one on the way very precious great grandchildren Brenden, Ben, and Brad. Sister-in-law Marion Davis and (Jack) Stoner. Her very special cousin and friend Mary Beth (Ron) Mikkola and very very special Davey Mikkola and many nieces and nephews. Her very dear friend of 70 plus years Peggy Belo. A mass of Christian burial for Mary Ann will be held 11 am Thursday December 9, 2010, at the Church of the Resurrection in Hancock with Fr. Dan Debano to officiate. Spring burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery of Houghton. Friends may call on Thursday December 9, 2010, from 10 am until time of services at the Church of the Resurrection.
