Obituary of Mary Massie Atlantic Mine Mary (Erwin) Massie, 55, a resident of Atlantic Mine, passed away suddenly Saturday evening, August 18, 2007. She was born on September 28, 1951, in Hancock a daughter of Raymond and Sylvia (Kesti) Larson. As a child Mary resided in Onnela and Atlantic Mine. She attended the Redridge School and was a graduate from the Jeffers High School with the class of 1969. On June 16, 1979, she was united in marriage to Erwin Massie. Together they have resided in Houghton, Hurontown, Lake Worth/Lantana, FL, and for the past 17 years back in Atlantic Mine. Mary was a member of the First Apostolic Lutheran Church, a former member of the Adams Township Library Committee, and she enjoyed volunteering at the Houghton County Fair each year. Preceding her in death were her maternal and paternal grandparents. Burial will be in the Liminga Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday August 21, 2007, in the First Apostolic Church of Houghton from 3 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church.
