Mary L. Rouleau

Hancock

Mary L. Rouleau, 89, a resident of Hancock, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at the Pewabic House of Portage Pointe in Hancock, where she had been a resident patient.

She was born on June 19, 1935, in Calumet, a daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Stimac) Tarvis. Mary was raised in Calumet and was a graduate of the Calumet High School with the class of 1953.

On September 25, 1954, Mary was united in marriage to Edward Rouleau. The couple made their home in Hancock as they raised six children. On December 24, 2004, Edward preceded Mary in death.

Mrs. Rouleau had worked as a secretary for Michigan Technological University, retiring after 26 years. Mary was a member of Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church of Hancock. She also enjoyed spending time following her children and grandchildren with their different activities.

Preceding her in death were her husband Edward, her daughter Christine Krause, her sister Elizabeth Harter and her brother Ralph Tarvis.

Surviving are: Her sons: Steve (Jane) Rouleau, Mike (Mary Kay) Rouleau, Patrick (JoAnn) Rouleau, Jeffrey (Renee) Rouleau and Daniel Rouleau.; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; Her brother: Robert (Paulette) Tarvis

A graveside blessing for Mary will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday June 18, 2025, at the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock.
