Obituary of Mary Williams Hancock Mary Pruner Williams, 61, passed away Tuesday evening, July 22, 2008, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility after a 13 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Mary was born in Hancock on May 17, 1947. She graduated from Hancock High School in 1965 and attended Suomi College. She was employed by U.P. Power Company and Portage View Hospital. In 1978, she married James Williams, Sr. of Hancock. Mary is survived by her husband Jim 2 Children: Carolyn (Andy Parker) Williams and Scott Williams of Hancock 2 Step-Children: Janet McKellar of LasCruces, NM and James Williams, Jr. of Lake Linden 5 Step-grandchildren: Danielle Mulheron. Angel McKellar & April Acosta of New Mexico, Todd McKellar of Texas & Julene Thomas of Calumet A brother: Steve Pruner, as well as numerous cousins. Preceding her in death were her parents Norman and Eleanor (McAskill) Pruner. Funeral services for Mary will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday July 26, 2008, in the Memorial Chapel Funeral of Hancock, with the Rev. Philip Nancarrow officiating.
