Obituary of Max Pintar Hurontown Max P. Pintar, 86, a resident of Hurontown, passed away Sunday Evening, Nov. 27, 2005, at the Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancok where he had been a resident patient for the past 4 months. He was born on October 11, 1919, in Dodgeville, a son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Anton Pintar and resided there in his early years. For the past 58 years he has made his home in Hurontown. He served with the Seabees in the Pacific Theatre during World War II, and the U.S. Navy. Max had worked on local construction jobs, also for the former Isle Royale Mining Company, and the former Bosch Brewery. He was also employed by Pettibone Inc. of Baraga. On November 15, 1947, he was united in marriage to the former Bertha Hern. He was an avid bowler, liked stream fishing, and was a volunteer member of the Hurontown Fire Department for many years. Preceding him in death were his parents, and 2 brothers; George & Joseph. Surviving are: his wife Bertha of Hurontown 1 Daughter: Susan (Ron) Lemke of Milwaukee, WI 1 Stepdaughter: Dolores (Wilbert) Rajala of Southfield, MI 2 Stepsons: Nickolas (Nancy) Taddeucci of Bellaire, MI James (Frederica) Taddeucci of Houghton, MI Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. As requested by the deacesed there will be no service or visitation at this time. Spring burial will be at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton.
