Obituary of Melvin Johnson Portage Entry Melvin E. Johnson, 60, a resident of Fishermans Lane, Portage Entry, Chassell, passed away at the home of his daughter and son-in-law early Thursday, October 2, 2003, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Trimountain on July 20, 1943, the son of of the late Edward Johnson & Wilma Tuominen/Polkinen. Melvin was a boilermaker by trade and had worked for Local #107 out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for 25 years until illness forced his retirement. He was united in marriage to the former Patricia Knight and after 16 years of marriage they mutually decided to part ways but continued to remain close friends visiting each other from time to time. Surviving are: 2 Sons: Daniel (Carrie) Johnson of Delavan, Wisconsin Ronald Johnson of Waukesha, Wisconsin 3 Daughters: Lauri (Tim) Hahn of Portage Entry Cheryl Johnson of Waukesha, WI Sandra Johnson of Waukesha, WI 9 Grandchildren 2 Great Grandchildren 1 Sister: Mavis Bradshaw of Frankfort, Illinois 1 Brother: James Balma of South Range 1 Uncle: Reino (Marian) Tuominen of South Range 1 other Aunt Several nieces, nephews, and cousins Memorial services will be held Friday, October 10, 2003, at 1 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Chassell with Rev.
