Atlantic Mine
Michael R. Guilbault, 48, a resident of Atlantic Mine, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at his home from an apparent heart attack.
Mike was born on December 18, 1976, in Hancock, MI, a son of Rodney and Debra (Burkman) Guilbault. He was raised in Houghton and was a graduate of the Jeffer's High School with the class of 1995. He then attended Northern Michigan University.
Mr. Guilbault then began a career working as an installer for Baraga Telephone Company, where he currently was working.
Mike was a devoted son, brother and proud father. He enjoyed helping coach his son and daughters in travel hockey (CCJHA), travel softball (Crush Softball), and was their biggest supporter, never missing their hockey, softball, baseball, soccer, football, basketball, volleyball games or any program they were involved in. He had also enjoyed playing Old Timers Hockey for many years, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton.

His children: Jada Guilbault of Hancock, Matthew Guilbault of Atlantic Mine, & Gianna Guilbault of Atlantic Mine; His parents: Rodney & Debra Guilbault of Hurontown; His sister: Christina (Alan) Huhta of Twin Lakes; Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins
A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church of Houghton with Fr. Corey Litzner to officiate. Burial will be in the Oskar Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 10 am until time of services at St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church in Houghton.
