Myrtle Waisanen

Obituary of Myrtle Waisanen VALPARAISO, INDIANA Myrtle Waisanen, 93, a former Hancock resident, passed away on December 27, 2010 at Rittenhouse Senior Living in Valparaiso, IN. Myrtle was born in 1917 to Isaac and Aliina Sippola in Hancock. She graduated from Suomi College in Business Adminstration and continued in that profession until retirement. Her interests were church, bible study, painting, travel and visiting family and friends. Surviving are her three children: Ruth Anne Krumrie, Paul (Jacqueline) Waisanen, and Peter (Eliisa) Waisanen; nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, whom all will miss her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Baun M. Waisanen, one brother and one sister. Her family remembers her spiritual support and love for all and is very grateful for the loving care received from Rittenhouse and staff, and VNA Horton Hospice of Porter County. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2011 at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Hancock. Inurnment will be in the Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.
