Patricia Long (Turner)

Houghton Patricia A. (Robert) Long 80, a resident of Houghton passed away Thursday April 16, 2020, at the Omega House in Houghton following a lengthy illness. She was born on November 10, 1939, in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Alfred and Veronica (Pewinski) Turner. Pat was raised in the Detroit area and was a graduate of the Denby High School with the class of 1959. On December 26, 1964, she was united in marriage to Robert Long. The couple had resided in Greensburg, PA, Detroit, MI and Troy, MI. In 1976, the couple moved to Houghton, MI, where they owned and operated the Downtowner Motel until 2015. Patricia enjoyed working at the motel and crocheting booties. Preceding her in death were her daughter Kelly, her brother Anthony along with her parents. Surviving are: Her husband: Robert (Bob) Long of Houghton Her sisters: Judy (Charles) Chittenon of Florida Janice Edminson of Gaylord, MI Several nieces, nephews and cousins The Memorial Chapel & Plowe Funeral Homes of Houghton are assisting the family with the arrangements.
