Obituary of Paula Jane Varno Hancock Paula J. Varno, 76, a resident of Hancock passed away Saturday morning October 18, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Hancock following a lengthy illness. She was born on January 22, 1938, in Covington, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Pete and Alice (Stevlay) Blanford. Paula graduated from the Villa Madonna Academy in Covington, KY. Paula then enlisted in the United State Air Force, where she served as a nurse for two years. She was united in marriage to Chester Krumm and after awhile they parted ways. She then was united in marriage and after 31 years together Ralph preceded her in death on March 29, 2009. For most of Paula's life, she resided in Columbus Ohio but for the past eight years has made her home in Hancock. Mrs. Varno was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Hancock. Preceding her in death were her daughter Maureen, her husband, and her parents. Surviving are: Her sons: Curtis (Robin) Krumm of Columbus, OH Stewart (Machiel Osborn) Krumm of Calumet James (Barbara Evans) Krumm of Columbus, OH Her grandchildren: Kenny, James Jr., Chris, Oktober, Shea'lyn, Jai'lyn, Cassie, Shawn and Stewart II 16 great grandchildren Several cousins A time to remember Paula will be held on Wednesday October 22, 2014, from 5 to 7 pm at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock.
