Obituary of R. Lindstrom Salo District R. John "Jussi" Lindstrom, 61, a former resident of the Salo District passed away early Tuesday morning, February 10, 2004, at the home of John and Terri Ganske in Boling, Texas following a battle with Cancer. He was born in Chassell, on June 29, 1942, a son of the late Toivo and Elma (Juntunen) Lindstrom, and was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 1960. He then served with the U.S. Air Force for 4 years in Electrical Maintenance. He then attended the Houston Community College. Mr. Lindstrom had moved to the Salo District in 1943, later residing in Ann Arbor, MI; Ft. Meyers, Fla.; Biloxi, Mississippi; and the Houston Texas area. Among the many places he worked for were; the C & H Company; Bosch Brewery in Houghton; the former Fontana Trucking Co.; and various other trucking companies. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a sister Mary Ann in infancy.
