Obituary of Ronald Rimpela MR Chassell,Ronald A. Rimpela, 76, a resident of Chassell passed away Thursday evening March 20, 2014, at the Portage Hospital following a lengthy illness.He was born on March 29, 1937, in Chassell, MI, a son of the late Henry and Esther (Maatta) Rimpela. Ron was a lifelong Chassell area resident and graduated from the Chassell High School with the class of 1954.Mr. Rimpela was a veteran having served with the United States Army.On October 6, 1956, he was united in marriage to the former Joyce Bjorklund. Ron was a 50 year member of I.E.B.W. local #219, where he worked as an electrician.Mr. Rimpela was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell.
