Obituary of Russell William Anderson Houghton CanalRussell W. Anderson, 58, a resident of the Houghton Canal passed away Tuesday October 28, 2014, at the UP Health Systems Portage Hospital in Hancock following a short fight with cancer.He was born on May 31, 1956, in Hancock, a son of Shirley (Ojala) Anderson and the late Reino Anderson. Russell attended the Stanton School and graduated from the Houghton High School with the class of 1974.Mr. Anderson had worked for various contractors in the area. He was confirmed in the First Apostolic Lutheran Church.
