Ruth Angove

Obituary of Ruth Angove Ripley Ruth (Gary) Angove, 66, a resident of Ripley, passed away Tuesday evening August 12, 2008, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks. She was born on October 9, 1941, in Emmetsburg, IA, a daughter of the late Ralph Theodore and Amy Eleanor (Johnson) Peterson. As a child, she attended the local schools. On February 13, 1965, Ruth was united in marriage to Gary Angove. The couple have resided in Florida, Lower Michigan, Arizona, and for the past 16 years have made their home in Ripley. Ruth was very active with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly in Hancock. She also enjoyed reading, the outdoors, gardening and watching the birds. Surviving are: Her husband, Gary Angove of Ripley Her daughters: Valerie (Thomas) Maguire of Berkley, MI Kimberly (Jeffrey) Huhta of Clarkston, MI Kristi Angove of Chicago, IL 7 grandchildren Her sister: Anita (Gordon) Bethune of Carroll, NE Her brother: Keith (Debbie) Peterson of Aryshire, IA Several nieces, nephews, and cousins Funeral services for Ruth will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday August 19, 2008, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with William Fink of the Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist Fellowship to officiate. Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery of Calumet. Friends may call on Monday August 18, 2008, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy the family suggests that memorial be given to Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly.
