Ruth Glasson

Obituary of Ruth Glasson Houghton Ruth M. Glasson, 79, a former resident of Hancock, Summer resident of Chassell, and the Arbor Green Apartments in Houghton passed away Friday April 29, 2005, at the Cypress Manor Nursing Home in Hancock where she has been a resident patient since February of 2004. She was born on March 25, 1926, in Detroit a daughter of the late Hjalmer & Hilja (Lindstrom) Myllyoja. As a child, Ruth moved with her family to Hancock. She graduated from Hancock High School with the Class of 1943. Ruth also graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing School in Hancock. On July 13, 1946, she was united in marriage to Joseph L. Glasson. Together they owned and operated Glasson Wholesale. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2000. Ruth was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chassell. Also preceding her in death where; 2 Brothers: Martin 2 Sisters: Sylvia & Anita. Surviving are: 1 Son: Joseph (Mary) Glasson of L'Anse 3 Granddaughters: Cheryl (John Reynolds) Glasson of Twin Lakes Dawn (John) Albritton of Farmerville, LA Kristina Glasson of Chassell 1 Great Grandson: Andy Young of Farmerville, LA 3 Step Grandchildren: Capt. David (Rhonda) Kunick of Las Vegas William (Kristina Waisanen) Kunick of L'Anse Thomas Kunick of Las Vegas 9 Great Step Grandchildren 3 Sisters: Helen (Don) Pyer of Hollywood, FL Miriam (Richard) Melvin of Royal Oak, MI Annette (Richard) Hibler of Vero Beach, FL Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins A memorial Graveside service for Ruth will be held on Friday June 24, 2005, at the Lakeside Cemetery of Hancock with Rev.
