Obituary of Sam Hammerstrom HANCOCK Sam E. Hammerstrom, 17, a senior at Hancock High School, lost his life early last Saturday morning, March 26, 2005, in an automobile accident in Duluth, Minnesota. He was born in Hancock, on May 12, 1987, a son of Rick & Connie Hammerstrom,and has resided for most of his lifetime on the Coal Dock Road in Hancock, and attended the Hancock Public Schools being a senior this year. He had worked for Ward's Husqvarna Sales & Service in Dollar Bay. Sam was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; William & Effie Erickson, and his paternal grandfather, Francis Hammerstrom. He was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock. Surviving are: His parents; Richard & Connie Hammerstrom His paternal grandmother: Mrs. Marvel "Hanna" Hammerstrom of Hancock 3 Sisters: Ms. Jeni Hammerstrom of Houghton Ms. Melissa Hammerstrom at home Ms. Lanae Hammerstrom at home 8 Brothers: Wade (Sylvi) Hammerstrom of Battleground, WA Lee Hammerstrom of Battleground, WA Adrian (Rebecca) Hammerstrom of Hancock Marty (Katie) Hammerstrom of Boston Loc. Dwight (Kristi) Hammerstrom of Hancock Myron Hammerstrom of Dollar Bay Daniel Hammerstom of Battleground, WA Braden Hammerstrom at home 3 Nieces, 3 Nephews, & numerous Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 A.M. in the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church of Hancock, with Steven Korpela and Clarence Marttila to officiate. Spring burial to be in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet. The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock is serving the family. Friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday at the church, and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services.
