Obituary of Scott Nicholas Hancock Scott G. Nicholas, 50, a resident of Hancock passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday evening February 11, 2015, at this home. He was born on July 21, 1964, in Hancock, a son of the late George Nicholas and Wanda (Wells) Nicholas. Scott was a graduate of the Hancock High School with the class of 1983. Scott had worked at the Lode Theater in Houghton, the Ojibwa Casino in Baraga and for the past ten years he has worked in the hardware department, painting department and as a greeter at the Walmart Store in Houghton. On February 24, 1996, he was united in marriage to the former Shelly Johnson. Scott enjoyed sports, following the Green Bay Packer, Detroit Red Wings and loved to watch his son play hockey and his other sporting events. Preceding him in death were his father, his niece Brittany Nicholas and his aunt Connie Wells. A memorial service for Scott will be held 7:30 pm Tuesday February 17, 2015, at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with Rev. Bucky Beach to officiate.
