Obituary of Sharon Kumlin Coburntown Sharon O. (David) Kumlin, 61, a resident of Quincy St., Coburntown, passed away Monday afternoon May 24, 2004, at her home following a lengthy battle with cancer. The former Sharon Branson was born on September 29, 1942, in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of Robert and Doras (Calvert) Branson. As a child Sharon resided in Davenport, but has also lived in Ohio, California, and since 1976 has made her home in the Copper Country. On September 10, 1988 she was united in marriage to David Kumlin. Sharon had worked for Republic Bank until illness forced her to stop working. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Francis Calvert and an infant brother. Surviving are: Her husband: David Kumlin of Coburntown 1 Son: Matt Kumlin of Coburntown 1 Daughter: Tammy (Robert) Stubenrauch of Ahmeek 2 Grandchidlren: Darren and Alex Stubenrauch of Ahmeek Her Mother: Doras Branson of Houghton Her father: Robert Branson of Ventura, CA 1 Sister: Kathe (Steve) Medvigy of Oxnard, CA 2 Brothers: Doug (Phyllis) Branson of Sandpoint, ID Randy Branson of California 1 Brother-in-law: Arthur Kumlin of Coburntown Several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, & Cousins A memorial service for Sharon will be held on Thursday evening May 27, 2004, at 8 P.M. in the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock with the Rev. Jimalee Jones to officiate. The family will greet friends from 6 P.M. until time of the services Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy the family suggests that Memorials may be given to the Copper Country Humane Society.
