Shawn L.K. Swain

Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, Shawn Lee Swain, 50, of Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 6, 2026, in Houghton, Michigan.

He was born on October 23, 1975, in Wellsboro, PA, the son of Wendy Coolidge Medeiros and the late Gary Swain.

Shawn worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for the union and took pride in his work.

He enjoyed the simple things in life, including fishing, hunting, reading, and shooting pool. Above all, Shawn valued time with his family. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his son, Cameron Swain(Jessica Ngo); his mother, Wendy Coolidge Medeiros(Christopher Rexford); his stepmother, Lisa Swain; his sister, Shalane Hamblin(Bryan Maloof); his brothers, Travis Swain and Brandon Swain; his nieces, Shayla and Kami; and his nephew, Hunter.

A celebration of Shawn’s life will be held at a later date.
