Obituary of Stephen Marcotte Laurium Stephen W. Marcotte, age 33, a resident of N. Pewabic Street, Laurium, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, January 3, 2005. He was born in Hancock, on January 8, 1971, a son of Rhoda R. O'Brien and Robert A. Marcotte Sr. and resided for most of his lifetime in Laurium. Mr. Marcotte had been employed as a mechanic and carpenter, and loved working with cars. He also enjoyed hunting & fishing with his family. Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Rupert O'Brien, 3 Uncles; Ronald, Robert, & Dennis, and 2 Aunts; Ruth & Roberta. Surviving are: 1 daughter: Ariana and 1 son: Virgil his mother; Mrs. Rhoda R. O'Brien of Laurium his father: Mr. Robert Alan Marcotte of Hancock his paternal grandmother: Mrs. Mamie Marcotte a resident patient at Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock. 1 Sister: Raquel Marcotte of Hancock 2 Brothers: Robert A. (Leah) Marcotte Jr. of Green Bay Ritchie (Erica) Marcotte of Paavola 2 Step Sisters: Billie Jo Harvey of Laurium Jennifer Lynn Marcotte in Ohio 2 Step Brothers: David Harvey Jr. of Laurium Clint Dean Marcotte of Marquette numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, & Cousins Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 6, 2005, at 1 P.M. at the Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Hancock, with Capt. Kenneth Shiels of the Salvation Army to officiate. Spring burial to be in the Lake View Cemetery in Calumet. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 Noon until time of services on Thursday.
